"I've been wearing my hair slick off-and-on for several years — first using gel, now grease. I prefer my hair to be slick, but pliable. My favorite grooming products are: pomade, Brylcreem, Groom&Clean, and Wildroot. I will often use a combination such as a heavy application of brylcreme or wildroot plus pomade for the top. I also like hair tonics, though I've found it is harder to get this style with them — I think grease helps give lift and hold, whereas tonics do work for giving the slick look. Vitalis is probably the one I've used most — it's OK, just wish the fragrance was toned down.

"In these pics I've used Groom&Clean plus pomade. I find Groom&Clean to be unique — it easily washes out with water like a gel, but certainly is no gel — it leaves hair shiny and truely slick.

"I slick up in the morning after showering, then my hair remains neatly slicked all day. I will add more grease at night if I'm going somewhere.

"For me the slicked look is the choice of style for men."

Vitalis & Groom&Clean

I found by accident a most excellent hair slicking combindation - Vitalis and Groom&Clean. I was doubtful at first, but it's incredible. I've only occassionally have used Vitalis in the past - I've never been much into it's unique fragrance mostly due to it's heavy alcohol content. As a hairtonic, it's OK, and is at least
available at most Drug Stores around here.

I've been using Groom&Clean for some time - I like it cause it's water based and washes out easy, but still gives a great sleak slick look, has good hold, and it's fragrance is pleasant and subdued.

The combo of the two together is AWESOME. Here's what I do:1) vigorously shake Vitalis bottle over head, massaging in the tonic, until hair is thouroughly saturated. You will definitely notice the heavy alcohol laden fragrance, but that's OK for now.

2) Massage in vitalis for about 30 seconds or so until most of the alcohol has evaporated. Keep hair messed up.

3) Now apply about a generous table spoon full of Groom& Clean to palm of hand and rub hands together - add just a touch of water - not much - and rub hands together. Apply to hair, massaging in Groom&Clean.

4) Now comb. You can put in a razor sharp side part, and form a very nice quiff in front, or comb it up and over to the side without a part, slick back the sides, and then form a nice quiff.

I've noticed that after applying the Groom&Clean, the Vitalis fragrance is virtually eliminated replaced with the subtle fragrance of Groom&Clean. The slick grease look you get is incredible. The hold is awesome too. I can go a day without a hair getting out of place and it stays slick looking all day.

To refresh, I splash on a few shakes of the vitalis bottle, followed by some Groom&Clean, and your ready to go.
