RESOURCE CENTER (Links)
When you want information, you go to the library. The SlickVille Library offers links to resources such as websites and discussion boards all having to do with slick hair. There are also links to on-line stores that sell slick hair products.
AD SLICKS
The Ad Slicks file is an archive of advertising for classic hair products. Our visitors are clipping ads from old magazines and they are on display here.
VERIICAL FILE (Ods and ends of interest)
In a brick and mortar library, a "vertical file" is a filing cabinet containing clippings from periodicals, photographs, broachures, maps, and other miscellaneous items. This vertical file is also for keeping many miscellaneous items of interest to our library patrons.
COLLECTIBLES SHOWCASE
The showcase here in the SlickVille Library contains many nostalgic collectibles. Old hair tonic bottles, pomade tins, and barbershop fixtures, are among the things that are on display. Please do touch with your mouse!
PRODUCT DIRECTORY
For information and to purchase greases, pomades, tonics and other traditional hair slicking products essential for classic vintage hairstyles see the Products Directory. And while you're there, be sure to stock up on "stuff" for your hair at the Grease Shop in Downtown SlickVille.
BARBERSHOP DIRECTORY
Most library reference sections have directories of business, organizations, and the like. The SlickVille Library would not be complete without a Barbershop Directory. For future reference, the directory can be directly accessed from "Barbershop," any navigation menu, or the home page.
